These different series highlight my work from my "Foundations of Photography" course (Fall '19).
INDIVIDUALITY
Final Ten-Piece Series
This project seeks to highlight the distinct individuality present within each student pictured. From my experience growing up, intangible subjects like GPAs, resumes, and college majors end up becoming what defines my worth while little recognition is given to personal feelings or interests. In discussing this concern with other college students, we found that the depth of who we are as people gets overshadowed in comparison to our academic labels. Through my portrait series, I had students take me to where they feel most themselves to showcase how our complex emotions and personalities truly represent who we are over the simplistic societal numbers that others see.

COLOR & VANTAGE POINT
Five-Piece Assignment
